Eye Surgery?
Hello Im suppose to get eye sergury because I have stribismus , which means they have to tighten my eye muscles, because my left eye sometimes gets lazy. Anyway I never has surgery before in my life Im 28 yrs old and I am really scared of getting it, I dont know how i will react to anistesia. Im getting my surgery overseas cause thats where my husband and I are stationed at. And I know that the military have really good referrals of doctors. But im just still in fear. Should i really be this scared or do I not need to worry. Thank you so much and have a safe , and wonderful Holiday.
Answer
It is natural to be a little worried about having any surgery. You have to trust in the doctors and anesthesiologist that will be caring for you. Why would you be concerned about how you "react" to the anesthesia. There should be no "reaction" and this is up to the anesthesiologist to make this as easy for you as possible. When you get there, voice all of your concerns which will help ease your mind. They will also be giving you more information before they put you to sleep so all of your questions should be answered. Good luck and hopefully, everything will be much better for you soon.
